Morning all,

Well I THINK I am recovering slowly but surely... My throat isn't sore anymore but I still have a wicked, persistent cough and my right eye is still a LITTLE swollen. One day at a time I guess. It was so beautiful last evening that I really wanted to get out for a walk, but we were only able to go around the block before I completely ran out of energy.

Morning Friends!

I was sitting at the kitchen table this morning with Mollipop and BooBoo, looking outside and I just couldn't help thinking, "Boy, it's just a gorgeous summer morning! Too nice to come into work, that's for sure." Alas, here I am. Darn it.

DH is off work today to get some outside tasks finished, so he's coming in over lunch and we'll hit the farmers market. We need mushrooms, fresh garlic, broccoli, red peppers, zucchini and tomatoes. (And a hot sausage sandwich for lunch....can't forget that. There's a stand at the market that makes the best sausage sandwiches, with lots and lots of peppers. Yum!)

And since the temp is to be in the mid-90s by this afternoon, I'm going home tonight and going for a swim! The first swim of the season!

Enjoy!

Morning All!

I have been absent due to different working hours while the owners were on vacation.
Still lots going on for the next week so my life is a bit crazy right now!

The big news is we are taking a short trip Sunday/Monday across the lake (Michigan) to pick up a new kitten Monday. A bobtail that a animal hospital had for adoption!
More info to follow on this but we take the Sun afternoon ferry (4 hours) stay overnite.
A bit of sightseeing and then pick up the kitten Monday afternoon and take the evening ferry back to WI. Its about a 45 min ride to the ferry dock so Monday we will not get home until almost 1 am! I'm thinking of taking Tues off as well to get him acclimated to the household.

Very very hot weather the past couple of today until a cold front moves through late this evening and brings temps back to normal.

Thursday taking annual flower buying trip to the Madison,WI & Janesville,WI area.

Have a good day!

Gail, that is very exciting and you will love the ferry ride too and I hope the weather is good Can't wait to see pictures of your new baby!!

IT IS SOOOOOO HOT today , I just got back from taking the dogs for a walk. I have a stroller now for Wilbur as he can't make it anymore but still wants to go with me and his brother Henry. Wilbur loves his stroller. But it is already about 95 degrees, very unusual to be this hot this early in the morning. Will do my workout soon and still have to groom cats, a must do for today!!!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day

Good afternoon!

Got a (unwanted) surprise this morning - one of my other ferals, that I had tried to catch and ended up getting shredded instead, had a single kitten earlier in the week. Oy. Once she's able to be taken away from kitten I'll be working on round 2 of capture!

Feeling about 90% better from the sickness that's been plaguing me for over a week. I want to go back to exercising (paid $99 for unlimited yoga right before I got sick Need to catch up on making it worth it!), but am giving myself one more day off from it - then tomorrow I'll go back to it. I refuse to miss gymnastics Saturday again!

So after I kill time at work, it's back home to feed & play with the feral kittens (SO glad I found a network willing to help me adopt them out through Petfinder and Petsmart!), relax, and have simple burritos for dinner with Nyquil for dessert
