Please understand that "The Cat Site" is global, so most members won't come on for another 3-4 hours.

You mentioned in another thread that your cat is weak, so has it been checked by a vet check.

I do not free feed, as I personally think it is harmful for the cats health, to have food available at all times for a healthy cat/kitten.

Ideally you should be feeding 3-4 meals a day for an adult cat, 4-6 meals a day for a kitten.

My house cats eat three times a day. They are fed when I get up in the morning (around 7:30), 4:30 pm, and 10:00 pm.

I feed mine a prey model raw diet, the kittens get all they want at each meal, and then as soon as they leave the plate it is taken away. Mikey (8 year old) is fed 4-6 ounces a day. http://www.rawfedcats.org/nature.htm explains what "prey model raw" means.

Sorry to cut in - you said Mikey eats 4-6 oz per day. Can you estimate how much the each of the kittens eats since they're allowed to have as much as they want? Or is it too difficult to measure? Still trying to estimate budget/how much to buy for my two brothers if/when I switch them over to Feline's Pride which we discussed in the other thread

At the peak of their growing, they were eating about a pound a day (or $1.50 worth of raw). However, since I make my cats own food, it costs way less than premade.

On a differant note, Feline's Pride is giving a $5 off coupon to people who join http://feline-nutrition.org/membership

Per kitten, and I am so glad they aren't eating that much anymore, it is now around 8 ounces a day. Morey and Mitch are now 10 months old, and wiegh 13 lbs, so they are going to be big cats.

Aelferd, you indicated in a different thread that your cat is weak. Has the vet checked the cat out yet? You might want to try that and see if the vet can help out.

To answer your question: I free feed dry Nutro Natural Choice Indoor to all 4 of my cats. In addition, I feed Nutro Natural Choice and Nutro Max wet food to them 2 times daily.

As kittens, I fed them 6 times a day, mostly wet food mixed with dry kibble. As kittens, they ate anywhere from 4 to about 8 ounces of wet and a little bit of kibble. As adults they get about 4-6 ounces of wet daily, that is divided by 2 feedings so about 2-3 ounces of wet twice a day for each cat. It's hard for me to estimate the amount of dry they eat on a daily basis as I free feed.

They also get 5 pieces of feline Greenies every day. They love their treats
