So it's Game 3 between the Vancouver Canucks & Boston Bruins. Normally I hate the Canucks as a matter of principal (being a Colorado Avalanche fan) but they represent our conference and frankly Earl and I have said from the beginning of the season that they should make the Finals (which they did).

First 2 games were great games. Tight, competitive games. The way the finals of any sport should be.

Tonight, Game 3 has been an absolute slaughter. Bruins just won it 8-1.

What I want to know is.... Why in the heck didn't they pull Luongo after the 4th goal? Between periods? ANY time??? We were watching him in the 2nd and he was unfocused, didn't know if the puck was coming or going and half the time it was going in the net. Is he that fragile that pulling him during a Stanley Cup Finals game would be worse to his future performance than being humiliated?

The Bruins definitely deserved the win. They outplayed the Canucks on every level. I just hate games that are between the "two best teams" (which the series is) that is so lopsided. At least the Superbowl has the commercials if the game is as bad as this!

I didn't watch a lot of the game, but what I did see it was still 0-0. I told DH, this has been a tight series, they're both good teams. Then I look at the paper this morning and see the score. What? And they didn't pull Luongo? Is the backup goalie that bad?

I'm not cheering for either one particularly, since my team didn't even make it to the playoffs (Hurricanes) and the next two teams I was hoping for got elimianted (Penguins and Lightning), but you really hate to see anything that lopsided in the finals.

I'm a BIG Canucks fan myself (I live in Vancouver) and I also didn't understand why they didn't pull Luongo. (who also happens to be my favourite player
) And to Misty8723, our bacckup goalie, Schneider, is actually quite good. VERY good, in fact, he probably won't be our backup next year because some team will want him

I agree that the Bruins deserved that win. It was just a slaughter out there...we gave up. I'm hoping that for Game 4 we will start out fresh. Although without Rome, the one who hit Horton, we only have 5 defencemen left

I don't enjoy hockey anymore - too much violence.

I heard a joke recently: I went to the fights and a hockey game broke out!

My husband is a huge Canucks fan. He has been a fan since the Canucks began. We also live in B.C..
When he turns off a hockey game you know it's bad. Boston desereved the win. I am hoping Canucks will win tonight.
