This happened the other day, I found it hilarious at the time so I thought you all might like to laugh at my wonderful boyfriend with me

Last week I went to bed early, the dogs and I were cuddling in bed, watching some TV before we fell asleep. I heard Leiki in hall making hairball noises, so I was just waiting in bed until she stopped so I could go out and clean it up (Mike is horrible with that kind of thing).

Anyways, a few seconds later Mike comes running into the room yelling, "There's something wrong with the cat! There's something wrong! Come fix her!".

Apparently, he had never heard a cat hacking up a hairball before, lol. She finished, I went out and cleaned it up and it's all been fine since, but I could not stop laughing at him that night.

I guess that *would* be a disturbing thing to observe if you had no idea what was going on! Poor boyfriend.

Awww, that's adorable!

Though to be fair, the first time my mom's cat did that and I saw it, I was home from college and had never had an indoor cat- I thought she was having a seizure and rushed her to the vet.

Mike will take care of pee and poop inside, if they happen to go inside. That was kind of an ultimatum from me, because it was usually his fault that they went inside (he wasn't paying attention to them, didn't let them out enough, etc). He WILL NOT deal with puke or hairballs though. I came home from work one day to find paper towels in random places all over our kitchen and foyer (tile floor) and Mike in another room. He told me that Sadie puked so he covered it up so I could clean it up, lol.

And I really don't know how he hasn't heard that noise before - he's had indoor cats before growing up and when I met him his roommate had an indoor cat. We also had Stan, but he never threw up or had hairballs, not even near the end.
