On June 3rd I received a histerical call from my little sister... She found this poor little kitten in a ditch! Poor little thing she thought he had lost his eyes because they were completely matted shut. She bought him to me of course I took a warm cloth to them to show her he still had his eyes. I'm guessing he is around 3 months but no more then 4 months. I have named him Elvis. I fed him some canned food and he seemed to love that and I have been mixing it with hard food. He doesn't seem feral at all... He LOVES the attention I give him. But, I have 7 cats in the house and with him having that Horrible Kitten Cold I didn't want to bring him around them so he is currently being housed in my Air Conditioned Garage. I've been going in there every 2 hours to get the gunk off his eyes and to wipe his nose. So, here is my questions: Have I done everything right so far? Is there anything else I need to do? How old does he need to be before I introduce him to my currently 14 week old kittens? Of course I will make sure it is completely better first. Any help or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

You had done well so far. What are you using to take the crest away? A tip is to use cooked saline water, not common water. Be also careful to take one eye at a time, so you dont happen to spread infections from one eye to the other.
The problem is, eye problems such as this, should a vet look at.
You do have 7 cats? So you are surely a paying customer to a vet? You can always phone him at the very least. He should answer you and give advices, even if usually dont gives free telephone consultations.
Besides, he may be ferale anyway. But when they are severly sick, and gets help, the window opens wide again.
Good luck!

He sounds like a little sweetheart, poor darling. Thank goodness your sister found him. You are doing a wonderful thing for him. Although, he might need some antibiotic eye drops. I would definitely call your vet and ask some questions over the phone too. Maybe they can help you with some more suggestions or even let you bring the kitten in for a discounted visit due to the circumstances
. I would keep the kitten away from your other kittens until such time as he is totally recovered and has a stool check. Sending lots of vibes to the little kitten!!

Oh no, I am so sorry sweetie
. Please, please give yourself a big hug for all you did for little
Elvis
. Seriously, you gave him the best last days of his life here on earth. Without you he would have suffered all alone and perished without love. How distressing, he was a very special little angel
. Thank you for loving and caring for him even though it brought you to this painful ending. You were Elvis' savior

if you want and you might already have, you can post in the Crossing The Bridge forum about Elvis. Only if you want. I am again so sad for you, but you filled his last days with joy, care, love and comfort. Bless you

KitKat,
What a kind thing you did for Elvis. You couldn't have done more! You can light a candle for him here if you like.
