Hi there, I have a friend who feeds a stray and he said she had babies. He only saw 2 at first and asked me what he should do so i gave him the link to Hissy's page. He says he went to shower and when he came back the two kittens were dead. But he saw one by the ac unit and it was alive so he picked it up, cleaned it and put it a shoe box, his son found another on the opposite side of their backyard and he cleaned it up as well. He says the momma cat doesnt want anything to do with the babies. He put them in front of her and she just left. Can anyone offer some advice. I told him if anything I would go and get them to take care of them and hope they make it. Thanks

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

Oh my!
Your tip about the www.kitten-rescue.com was good. Give him also our adresse, if he is still with these kittens.
What has he / you done as far? Difficult to give advices otherwise.
Warmth, food, or at the very least some water, is of course the most important. If he cant get cat substitute milk, goat milk is the best substitute.
Anyway, it is now 12 hours after your mail? So I presume you know more now, this way or another.
If they didnt got adequate help they are prob gone now. If they did got adequate help they are perhaps still with us.
Perhaps, helping such newborn, left by mom is always a fight uphill.
And here it is entirely possible they were already dying, and this is why the mom abandoned them. Cat moms often do with sick kittens.
So this is part of advice. How much is he / you ready to fight? ARE you willing to fight all out? Fighting the uphill battle?
Most critical perhaps 2 weeks, but also afterwards?
YOU must do it, if there is not a "semiprofessional" rescuer near. Vets will normally NOT do it.
If not, there is really not much to do. Make it warmth and comfortable for them, give them love, and let them slip away.
Tx for caring!
Good luck!

Hello thanks for your response!!! I have the kitties in my home! I picked them up from his house after two of them died. I have 3! I have managed to keep them alive and they seem to be doing well. I feed them every 3 hours and stimulate them before and after they eat. I have a heating pad set on low right now in a cardboard box because i am cleaning their carrier since i am taking them with me to work so i can feed them 3 hours around the clock! I woke up at 1 and 4 am to feed them! I hope to be able to keep them alive! I am trying very hard and reading every single site i can find. So far I think i am doing well. I am going to take them to the vet on thurs since i am off work to make sure all is okay from what they could tell. Today they are 2 days old. Cute as buttons. Pics below.

Marvellous news!
So now they do have a real chance!

There is still a loong, uphill battle to fight out, but the first victories are taken!
Good luck!
