My Mom died this morning

We got the call a few hours ago. She had lung cancer. It was total shock, as her prognosis was quite good, and she had started chemotherapy 2 weeks ago. She went into the hospital Friday. We didn't know until this morning, as usual, nobody told me. (My family AGAIN.)

What a shock! I'm so very sorry. I don't have words to express my thoughts. I hope good memories will give you some comfort.

I'm very sorry for your loss. You're probably feeling pretty numb right now and will go through the whole gamut of emotions for the next several months. Time will ease the pain, but it never seems that way when your loss is so fresh, and there will always be times when you'll miss her.

Take care of yourself.

I am so very sorry! I know exactly how you feel and there is nothing I can say that will ease the pain except that as time passes the days will get better, but the loss will always be felt. Just try to take one day at a time without overwhelming yourself with a plethora of emotions.

I lost my mom too from cancer, in my 20's. Not a day goes by I don't miss her with everything. I am sorry for your loss, cancer is so cruel.

I'm so sorry. I lost my dad to lymphoma about 2 1/2 years ago. Similar situation in that 2 weeks before he died he was feeling better than he had in a long time with a good prognosis. Luckily, my parents kept all of us in the loop on his health so I didn't have to be blindsided like you were.

The best you can do for your mom is to take good care of yourself and keep her memory alive.

I'm so sorry for your lost. I lost my mom to cancer a couple years ago. The pain does numb, but I don't think it ever totally goes away. At least it does get easier. for you to get through this.
