I figure I'd post this in the 'New Cats' forum, as it's been a couple years since I've been around
All of my kitties I've mentioned previously are doing great, I have seven perminant cats, the other kittens were adopted out (and mom totally catnapped Pounce!). In fact, one of them? TOO GOOD.

I rescued Trash Kitty and her brother, Puff in the beginning of 2007, and the vet said they were about a year old. She was so TINY. Both of their legs were 'dwarfed', most likely due to malnutrician during that first year (she was part of a feral colony, and I took them in because they were definately failing to thrive). This is trash kitten then (she's long haired, but she was SO full of mats initially we had to shave her).

She was sick for quite awhile, with a variety of illnesses. She had a bad enough respiratory infection that I was sure I was gonna lose her. But she hung on! She hasn't grown much (but her coat has come back
), she's still my little midgit cat - she looks like a dust mop running around with her long hair! (okay, so she's only rolling here..)

All the other cats in my house have, since previous, ahem, incidents (see past posting history) been spayed/neutered for years. But Trash Kitty never really grew up. She never exhibited any signs of going into heat - no yowling, no uncontrollable rolling, no excessive grooming 'down there' She barely even lifted her butt when you scratched her back. She's now five years old, and after how sick she was for so many years, and due to the fact she's 100% indoor kitty, I never had the heart to take her back to the vet.

Until... tonight :p

I heard her start to kinda 'churrup' yesterday, and I had the window open all day. Caught her once this afternoon spraying a pile of laundry I left on the floor. She looked kinda guilty, so I forgot about it. Until I was all curled up with a book, and she came to snuggle with me... kinda backing up into my side...

And yup! ALL OVER MY TSHIRT.

Mrgggle. Guess who is going to the vet this week?

(NICE TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN!)

Welcome back and she is very cute and looks healthy now. Would be better for her health in the long run to have her spayed. Good luck with her spay and she will be just fine.
