Has anyone had experiences with Wellness Kiten dry and canned food causing diarrhea? My 7 month old femail is in good health, had lots of tests, and now is on Hills I/D wet and dry. She has no diarrhea, but poops patties and soft logs. Thecolor is not bad at dark orange / brown.

So sorry you're kitten is having problems. I assume you're feeding her the I/D on a vet's recommendation. If you Google "wellness diarrhea" without the quotes you can find complaints about the same issue you have. But then, you can Google the same for any brand and find similar issues. Hope it gets better soon.

I've not had a problem with the Wellness wet, but when Tumbles was about that age, he couldn't handle the Taste of the Wild dry. After trying several other things, the vet put him on Royal Canin Gastro HE and the problem went away. Perfectly formed poops ever since!

When I first got my kitty, I put her on wellness kitten (100% wet) and at first it did give her bad diarrhea. I brought her to the vet and she was put on Rx royal canin cans to firm things up. I gradually weaned her from the prescription royal canin back to the wellness kitten and she's been totally fine on it since.

That is a thought. Cookie has been on the Hills I/D dry and wet for about six weeks and she only has soft stools. I am trying out Natural Balance wet and Hills dry to see if I can see anyhting. So far no diarrhea.

Calvin had diarrhea on Wellness Kitten dry and it turned out that he does not do well on rich food and kitten food is very rich for obvious reasons. He was 6 months old and we moved him to adult food that worked much better. However, we have also observed that although he does better on adult dry food, giving more than 1/4 of a cup a day makes his poop mushy. So he gets a little dry and mostly wet food. But coming back to your issue, maybe your kitten cannot tolerate the richness of kitten food and maybe moving to an adult food (of course after consulting with your vet) may help

That sounds like Cookie. We have done all kinds of tests and nothing showed up. She did good on a number of other foods. I have her on Hills I/D dry and I am trying to get her to eat Natural Balance wet, but she does not like it at all. You are the first person who has had a similar problem.
