James Arness, who played Marshall Matt Dillon on the old Western TV series "Gunsmoke", has passed away.

Awww! RIP Marshall!

I remember watching Gunsmoke with my Dad. It was his favourite television show.

You might have been thinking of his brother, Peter Graves (Mission: Impossible). He passed away not too long ago, as well. They were both wonderful!

My parents always watched Gunsmoke and there weren't too many programs that they always watched. I remember hearing that he never really recovered from his brother's death. They had been really close throughout life.
