So it was 2 weeks ago today that Persephone (Persi) and her 4 beautiful kittens went to their forever homes. I thought I would update you guys on how they are all doing as the adopters are all WONDERFUL in providing me updates!
Just got this update on the little female, Hera, now named Sophie: "Hi Kailie!
Well it's been two weeks and I am deeply in love!! LOL
"Sophie" is a darling and we couldn't be happier. She is SO affectionate. Every time we sit on the couch she appears and snuggles right into our necks. She perches herself on top of our shoulders just a bird haha. She is more than happy to sleep with our daughter every night. In fact she didn't even cry, not once, her first few days here!
She is wild every morning, zooming all over the house, up and down the stairs and very very playful. She eats every meal like it's her last! She also LOVES her scratching post. And she likes belly rubs too. And man can she purr up a storm!
I work at home and sometimes she curls up at my feet and I rub her under the neck with my big toe - she has a bed here in my office and is curled up sleeping right now with her stuffed animals LOL
I am going to send you some pics very soon I promise!
Just wanted to let you know how happy we are with her. She is a wonderful, lovable, well behaved companion and she's spoiled rotten!
Jill"
Little Hermes is doing great in his new home, having a GREAT time playing with his big brother, Filbert, who was also adopted from us a year ago. He loves cuddling on his mom's lap and goes with them camping in their trailer!
Little Caramel (formerly Ares) is apparently quite the character, keeping his new family in stitches! He is VERY good with their little girl, but is especially bonded with Claude, the dad.
Little Stanley (formerly Apollo) apparently ended up with a little bit of the sniffles, so he had some antibiotics and was no worse for wear! He enjoys teasing his big sister Marleigh and snuggles with his new parents in bed at night.
This was the message I got from Betty, who adopted mama Persi! She was actually adopted by a friend of a friend and took a flight to Winnipeg to get to her forever home: "Hi Kailie. Just sending a note to let you know that Persi arrived at her new home at 7 pm yesterday. Even after her long day, she was the most beautiful, adorable and lovable baby ever! When she met the dogs, cat and ferret she acted like she had known them forever. She tried to rub against the lab and he didn't know what to do as he's not used to the other cat being so affectionate. Ninja (cat) spent the remainder of her evening stalking Persi. Persi did her own thing and acted like Ninja wasn't even there! I got up at 1:00 am and 5:00 am to check on Persi and she looked like she had lived here forever. I am so excited to have such a friendly, loving cat! We have a lot in common. Persi and I both love to eat, sleep, and talk and we r both nosey. Can't beat that! Thats about all for now. Once again, thank you sooo much for everything!"
So all in all, YAYYYYYYY! Lots of happy kitty endings!
