She asked me to pass along her thanks for everyone's prayers and such for Wrinkles. I was helping her with a poem for the marker and she asked if I could let you guys know she's doing okay... it's been tough, but she's getting through it. She wanted to just let everyone know she appreciates the love over here for Wrinkles.

After much back and forth on wording and such, here's what I wrote for Wrinkle's marker:

You sit on God's lap,
Purring to ease the pain
I hold within.
You pad softly across the clouds,
Watching over me.
Our time together was brief,
But I hold the memories close,
Knowing I will see you again,
Someday.

For those of you who go by usernames (like me), Jacky is mews2much. I'm very sorry to hear about Wrinkles. Hope you come hang around here again soon.

Same here.

Losing a beloved pet is very difficult. It's 11 months today that I lost Chynna, and I miss her everyday.

Take all of the time that you need. In time the pain will lesson but the memories will never fade and your heart will always hold her close to you.

From everything I could gather, Wrinkles had some intestinal issue. It was pretty sudden. She was only two years old. They did everything they could, but she just didn't make it.

Thank you about the poem.

I'll pass along your well-wishes to her.

Sorry it took so long to respond, for some reason the thread notifications aren't showing up in my email box anymore... must go investigate.

Beautiful poem and it brought tears to my eyes. I hope Jacky feels better soon. It takes so long to get your life back on track after a loss like that.
