Seeing that horse trailer pull up the long driveway, with our boy, was one of the thrills of my life.

Wouldn't you know we picked the hottest day so far of the year to have him come home. But he had gotten a bath and was no worse for the wear. It was about a 50 mile trip for him.

He unloaded beautifully. No shy, no spook. He was interested, but was calm and cool. He called out a couple of times, got that on video. Our son and his family showed up and got some really nice pics. The kids were enthralled! We walked him around the cars, and in and out of the barn. Past tractors and all kinds of distractions...he was a perfect gentleman.

So, this am, my dh and his buddy who lent us a couple saddles and a bridle will go over and see what fits. Of course, I will go too.

He loves treats. We let him out in the arena by himself to walk around. He just roamed a bit and when I called him, he came back....looking for those apple treats I had in my pocket. Then he dropped and rolled!

I don't think they fed him before the trip so he was pretty hungry. He got a 5 in 1 shot and a coggins, so he was a bit tired.

Sorry so long.....it could be longer!
Hope to get pics up soon. It is so nice to have a horse in our lives again. He is just 1 mile away as the crow flies or 2 miles by car.

Thanks for reading!

AWW I know how utterly thrilling that feeling is when you are waiting for you horse to arrive!!!!! He sounds like a saint and such a good boy. Oh those apples, are the BEST and they seem to love to get the apple slobber all over you
. How nice for you and your family
