Our over the top rush hour is worse than ever today! Apparently we heard today that the NHL is coming back to Winnipeg after a 15 year absence. And people are over the moon and dancing in the streets!

I listened to the broadcast this morning, didnt feel like going and turning on The Score or Sportsnet to watch the announcement.The Jets are back.........well, sorta since the Jets became the beleagured Phoenix Coyotes when the two leagues merged and the Atlanta Thrashers are a new franchise......so what ARE they gonna call them now??

I hope they stick with "The Jets". I can't see us using "Thrashers!" LOL

Yeah, would be nice to bring back the name, however, I just heard rumblings about them being the Manitoba Moose.........unless that is another bad sportscaster joke

We already have a hockey team with that name.

EDIT: I just read that the AHL team, The Manitoba Moose, are going to be moving: Maybe to Stl Johns.

I can't keep up! LOL

Apparently the owners of the Moose and the new team are the same. So I guess it could be "Manitoba Moose." I hope not though. Much prefer "The Jets." It sounds more professional.
