The last time I went to Petsmart, I noticed that they now carry the Innova line by Natura. I don't think I saw EVO but I saw the other in both the cat and dog foods. I used to feed Innova to both my cats and dog till they got bought out last year.
My dog is now on Acana and Orijen as he does better on grain free I found out. My cats loved the Innova dry in their mix, but I am worried that now that Proctor and Gamble bought them out they may go the way of Iams. I took a glance at the ingredient list and it looked about the same if memory serves me right, but I know they can change the quality of the ingredients without changing the bag list. Does anyone still feed this to their cats and have they noticed a difference?
I would like to still add it to the rotation, but I would prefer the EVO line. My dog didn't do so well on the last two bags before we switched which I felt was odd since he was on it faithfully for the last 6 years. He has bad skin allergies and was getting itchier and flakier on it plus he was having more loose stools. Now he is doing great on the Acana Pacifica though I do have to watch the calories with that one as he is a less active senior dog.

If you are worried about the buyout, then I hate to disappoint you, but Evo was part of it as well. I just started feeding Innova because the ingredients check out with me and I will continue to until I see a change in them or news about a change.

I use innova dry in the rotation here. I also used to have california naturals..(it's just hard to get)

I do understand the buy out concerns but for now innova does well here, so i won't change it and Petsmart carrying it means my wallet can get a break now and then since they often do promos/sales.

I suggest keeping a close eye
... on animal s coat , stool etc as ingredients on a label may not change but the quality can... Many on here can list MANY MANY in recent yrs bought by big companies that this has happened.. will I keep Evo and Innova in my rotation .. yes until such time as my animals do poorly or I find better for same price... Big plus in big box ... less spoiled food less having to check every expiration date

Evo has gone thru I believe 3 ingredient changes in two years and that is not quality but actual change

Yup, I know that Evo is a Natura product. I haven't fed it probably since last June or July if I can remember. I did notice all the above issues with the regular Adult Dog food with my Senior Shepherd husky mix. (I don't feed senior diets as I believe it is a marketing gimmick)
Anyways, his coat got dry and flaky and he had very loose stools and lots of gas on the last two bags that we purchased. I decided to switch him knowing about the buyout, and knowing all the sneaky ways that Proctor and Gamble can change things without actually informing customers. They can change quality of ingredients and can also actually change the formula without informing the customer for 6 months after the fact. Well after the food merry go round of trying Fromms, Merricks, Natural Balance ect we came on to trying grain free with Acana and Orijen. All of my dogs issues have cleared up including the loose stools, gas and itchy skin and his coat hasn't looked this great in years! I do still buy the occasional Innova canned, and with that I usually buy EVO especially since my dog is now on grain free. I just can't believe that I actually paid over 4 dollars on EVO Duck lol. I guess price hasn't changed since the buyout. I will maybe get a small bag of the cat food and see if my cats like it. I fed my megacolon cat the Ca Naturals for her megacolon and itchy skin, but she loves Acana and does great on it. I just mix higher end foods together for the cats for variety and to prevent being fussy eaters.
