Whatever is in bloom. Do have a great love of daylilies having grown up in a large patch of them that my parents grew and helped them hybridize. Mom was trying to work on rebloomers and we met many of the noted breeders including the man who developed Stella d'Oro - that little yellow one seen everywhere nowdays.
I love the scent of lilacs; I can't resist burying my face in the blooms.
I adore the look of columbine--so many different color combinations, so dainty, lovely foliage---my absolute favorite.
In the fall, I really like the look of bittersweet.
I love to bury my nose into our lilacs every spring. I swear I could just sit there and breathe the aroma all day long. But right now, I'm enjoying sitting in the midst of our lily-of-the-valley, too. Such a sweet, sweet smell.
I really don't have a favorite flower, although I've always been partial to carnations....when DH gives me flowers, it's always a beautiful bouquet of carnations. I'll take them over roses any day.
