Carolina said that one of her cats was obsessed with it. It's a small wand with a wire lead, a swivel connection (like you use in fishing) on the end, and a spiky little mouse connected to that.

Flambe, OCD cat that he is, is obsessed with it, too. Every time we go out in the living room, he just knows we're going out there to play with him. Fruitcake.

So, Carolina, do you remember what that toy was called? Others may want one!

Pretty close, if not identical. The mouse looks right.

Flambe likes to play tug-of-war with it.

I have a different version of Da Bird. The pole is longer, the line is a fine cloth/string. My kittens Spencer and Katie absolutely love it! I hide it in a closet otherwise they would have it out all of the time. As soon as I pull it out, they are jumping all over me and meowing because they know it's play time! I have to put it away for short periods during the play session because Katie is so hyper that she ends up panting and still refuses to stop.

You can buy different ends for both version of Da Bird.

There are 6 different refill style ends. The one I linked to above actually flies through the air like a bird.

This one also "flies" but it's faster because the feathers are more streamlined:

I'm using this attachment right now. Both love it because it makes a crinkle sound when it flies around.

I have one of those with a large dragonfly on the end. Bijou is crazy for it. He carries it in his mouth around the house and will bring it over to drop on my foot to let me know he wants to play with it. I often find it in bed with me in the morning.

Yes, my cats absolutely go crazy for that exact same toy. It has a tiny brown mouse on the end (almost looks like a dragonfly too) attached like a fishing lure, wire attached to the wand. I got mine at Petco and cannot remember the name also. It is the only wand toy they don't ever get sick of. I need to replace the mouse, it has been played with so much it is almost trashed. I need to find another one. Went back to Petco and could not find it anymore. I have to find a replacement before this one is broken for good

That's a Go Cat Catcher, I believe. They do sell them at Petco now. I also buy them from Amazon.

I have a herd of cats playing with this toy at the shelter. I feel like the Pied Piper as I lead them all around the room. It's hilarious how excited they get, jumping and leaping. One young black guy, Gordie, catches it best. But he won't let go! I have to pick him up to get him to release the mouse. We do this over and over. When I'm tired, I have to put it behind a closed door or else they will find it and drag it out.

I'd say it's my own cats favorite toy, even preferring it over Da Bird.
