2 years ago Memorial Day, I walked into a shelter with the intent on adopting my first kitten. It was a small shelter, but all kittens (even young cats) were already adopted out.. except one. He has been passed over many times because he was just too loud and noisy.
That was okay for me since I live alone, I wanted a chatterbox to keep me company. Without second thought, I took him home. And I named him Monet, after one of my favorite artists.

Yes, I think, and hope, he's happy living with me after 2 years
I took him to the vet when he had something up with his eye, it was really cloudy and the vet could not see any scratches on the eye. 2 weeks of oral medication, he healed up nicely.
2 weeks later, he cut his paw pad on a razor blade in my tub. Had to take him back to the vet to get him cleaned and bandaged up. These were the only 2 nasty incidents I've had with him.
I do not regret taking him home that day at all, the best decision I've made in my life!
