Hi Everyone This is a very sad household at the moment, All of us are in shock.
We had Tickles put to sleep a few days ago, it was sooo hard i had our son with us he is 7. Tickles was his cat the bond they had together was such a pleasure to see i have never seen a cat look at a child with so much love as she gave him.
Tickles was only 2 when she died, 1 day before her second bday.
She was a very healthy cat till that horrible day.
She started being sick throwing up a lot and she became very week, the vet said that she couldn`t realy say for sure what happend she thinks that it would possibily be one of two things, poison or ogan failure.

She had no sings of being ill at all. She did like to sleep a lot.

My son cried all the way home from the vets i thought be would be sick.

Tickles was the most loving cat ever, We LOVE you so much Tickles God Bless You xxxxx

Has any one had any thing like happen????

I don't know what to say other than I'm so sorry for your loss and for your son's heartbreak on losing his beloved cat so suddenly. I hope you all can find some comfort in the love you shared with Tickles during her time with you.

I'm so, so sorry about Tickles. Our cats are part of the family and when one passes it's just like losing a family member. Unfortunately it can be very difficult to tell when a cat is sick. Since they are prey to larger animals in the wild it's very important that they hide when they are sick and that trait has carried on into our house cats. They are experts at hiding when there is something wrong with them so often we don't know that they are sick until it's gotten really bad.
There are so many things that can go wrong with a cat. Curious as they are they do get into things that can cause serious damage to their organs. It's also possible that Tickles was born with something wrong. At least she had a great life and was loved and cared for. I try to remember when I've lost a pet that they are really not gone. They are just somewhere else waiting for me. I also try to remember that my cat loved me and would want to see me happy. Whenever the time is right maybe you can give a loving home to one of Tickle's feline buddies on earth that really needs one. That way at least something good would come out of Tickle's passing - you could save another life.

I am so sorry for your loss and the grief you are experiencing. It is so hard when their end is so unexpected. I pray that your memories will be sweet and comfort you. Hugs to your son. He is so young to feel this kind of hurt.
Tickles, rest in peace. You are sorely missed and loved very much.

I meant to write sooner regarding the sad loss of your son's cat. What an awful freak thing! And so difficult to take in, accept, and get over. I'm so sorry.

Just like people, animals can have congenital problems that no one is aware of. I've known two cats to die young from heart defects they were born with. But only through a necropsy and lab tests could the cause be determined.

I sincerely hope that you and your son's grief eases soon.

I also hope that this sad, but unusual, occurence doesn't prevent your family from opening up your hearts and home to another cat, at some point. So many need homes and love, and they have so much to give.

Robin
