Oh awww, I love MaeMae, she is so beautiful. You guys must be so sad to be seeing her go, but it will help so much knowing that she is going to a wonderful new home.

(((((((((hugs))))))))) for both of you Laurie and Gary.

MaeMae is such a doll! I'm sure you guys are heartbroken, but at least you know that she'll be in good hands. Congrats AP! You've gotta keep us updated on MaeMae!

I really do need to get one, but we don't have a scanner, so there are a LOT of things I need to get!

don't worry, I'll make sure everyone gets their Mae fix

She really IS like a TCS cat, isn't she? It was such a cooperative effort on everybody's part, and now she's being adopted by someone from TCS... it's just another one of TCS' great networking stories. I'm so glad I finally started this thread.... I'm really feeling good about this! I can "talk" about it without getting a lump in my throat.

I always get worried just before adopting kitties though. We think they're so wonderful - and we always get nervous that maybe there's just something wrong with us, and we worry if they're actually as wonderful as we think they are....

But I'm not dreaming! She is this cute! She comes when you call her name. She's got those great big eyes in that little teeny head... She does try to crawl up Gary's suit leg, and dry-cleaning hanging there is just too tempting (you know how that plastic bag waves around with the slightest air movement)... and when we're taking out the garbage, it's got to go right out, because she loves bags of all kinds (and we don't let her play with plastic bags, even supervised - but when you come in with all those groceries, there's just nothing to do until they're all unloaded!)... but cat owners KNOW this kind of stuff!

Like MA says... Colby, be prepared for Kitty Terror Camp, LOL!

Colby - I like 8 or 9 best. Our kitties love to hang in the little cabin and bat at someone above or below them. Actually, I think 9 is really cool. I love how it has those wrap-around "balconies."

But little Mae sure doesn't need her "own" cat tree!!!! I thought you already had one - or two! She doesn't need to be THAT spoiled, LOL!

...and Colby, if you get a digital camera, then you don't need a scanner!

(BTW - they now have those "throw-away" cameras that they'll put the pics in digital format on a CD for you. Hint Hint

I have one that my dad made, and while it's functional (3 platforms) I want one that goes higher and has a few more places. Maes arrival is a great excuse to buy a new one! We're going to put the old one in the guest room. Any excuse to buy fun stuff for the little ones!

- me not knowing you didn't need a scanner if you had a digital camera. I had already thought about the new disposalable ones and will probably go that route until I make the investment in a real one!

That's the great thing about digital cameras! With the digital cameras, you hook up to your PC or laptop (these days usually via a USB port), and download the pics straight into some kind of program (like Adobe Photoshop - there's lots of others but I don't know what they are).

With "regular" cameras, if you have them process the pics onto a CD instead of into "paper", it's the same thing... you just pop the CD into the drive, and open the pics via any kind of viewing program. They always have to be resized to be downloaded here (or onto an image hosting site like imagestation or something), but even I found that really easy to do after not too many tries, LOL!

copeland has been good practice. she jumps on our feet getting in and out of the bed, attacks anything that remotely shows movement, jumps into the wicker laundry basket, races around the room 100 MPH, and has boundless energy. I hope Mae wears her out!

Mae Mae makes me want to go out and adopt another little fur baby just like her. She is so adorable. Is there anything more sweet looking than a kitten? I will try to resist - one fur baby is enough for my income.
