Retired police horses

Well, we decided to pass on Lizzy. Her neck reining needed a lot of work and the fact that she would'nt accept a bit was an issue. Possibly a "wolf" tooth. Also, one of her front feet turned outwards. I feel bad as she was a sweet gal. Just was more green than we wanted.

Anyway, on Wednesday we are going to see a guy who has retired police horses. To me, that is the ultimate. There is also a belgium/thoroughbred we may possibly consider. He is 15 and built like a freight train! I call him a "Hoss Cartwright" kind of horse! I would love a draft cross....cold blood is good thing for what we need.

But, I am patient. The right one will come along.

I'm sure you'll know when you find the right one! Good luck!

Oh yes, the right horse will come along!!! . I always am very careful to inspect and x-ray feet. If the horse has a foot issue, then you don't have a riding horse. Sorry Lizzy isn't the one and good luck with the Belgium/TB. Fifteen is a great age and if he was a police horse, he is bomb-proof. This is an exciting time for you and enjoy your search
