Question on bump found

Tonight i was examining one of my cats, Kiki, and noted that under his chin there is a black bump. At first I thought it was a scab but it doesnt appear to be. It seems that there is hair on it. I touched it and it doesn't seem to hurt him. It almost looks like a mole but he is soooo black i cant really tell what the heck it is. I took a picture but it would be pointless to post as you cannot see it!!

Then i looked under his brothers chin and noted that there is a small black bump on his chin too. Although his looks more like dirt or a scab as i see him scratching under his chin quite a bit.

Does anyone have any input as to what it may be? I will call on Monday to make an appointment but in the mean time just curious...

Thanks

My first thought would be feline acne, especially since they both seem to have it, but it could also be something like a mole or a cyst. It won't hurt to have it checked out. Some cats (like our Bridge cat Wickett) are very prone to abscesses and cysts.

So it was just a scab......it fell off today. I put some neosporin just in case since now he's missing a small patch under his chin.

Was it anything like Sophie's rodent ulcer in this picture

She's had them twice, but the vet said unless it got really bad he didn't need to see her because they dry up as quickly as they appear. She's just had another one 3 weeks ago, so l left it like he said and it's scabbed over and dropped off

Actually it did look a lot like that. I took a picture but he's too black to even see it. It fell off yesterday when I touched it to see if it was getting bigger. Thanks for your input!

When Sophie gets one it's wet, but by the following day it's drying up, then after a week or two that's when it's ready to drop off
