Has anyone tried raw dehydrated food? Addiction claims it's has the same benefits of canned food. It's grain free food that you add water to and it has been to eaten within 4 hours.

At first blush, it didn't seem all that different from adding water to dry kibble but since the food is "air dried", I'm assuming the food doesn't have all the binders/crap that's added to dry food.

Any reviews/advice?

Haven't tried that specific kind, but I used to get free samples off k9cuisine when I ordered canned food and tried 2-3 different raw dried foods, honest kitchen and some other kind, couldn't get my cat to eat them for anything. The dogs thought they were yummy though.
I feed raw but don't bother with freeze dried stuff because it's usually quite expensive and with the dehydrating takes longer to deal with.

I regularly ( ie daily to 5 times a week ) use Stella and chewys FD raw... mine love it .. tried others some work great but are not readily avail other s were not touched

Check to see if they are meeting AU or AFFCO standard s for a Complete diet.. If they are then supplements are added... AIR dried in the US would scare me as chemicals are often added to spped or complete this process

Sharky, the stella and chewies is like nuggets or patties right? Not a powder? Do you add water to it? My ferrets used to like the wysong dried raw like that, not sure if the cat would take to those better or not.

it comes in patties as a complete formula( complete as in veggies added) ... the nuggets are sold as a treat but do = complete for a cat
... You can add water and sometimes I do if I am subing it for wet food but normally I crumble over dry or on it s own as a treat ... the powders like Honest kitchen I have yet to have a cat willing to try

I found a pet store that carried both the dehydrated items and big canned grain free food. I picked up Evanger and Felidae and hoping my cats like them.

I tried Addiction with my dogs but they didn't like it. I currently use The Honest Kitchen dehydrated and it has done wonders for my dogs. The one that was overweight lost and looks great, and the one with food allergies is doing wonderful on it. I also use THK cat formula prowl to mix in sometimes with my cat's canned food. She enjoys it alone too but it seems a little watery since it's a higher protein level than their dog food.
