I'm OK, as long as I've not had a really late night. But I've always been more of a night owl. I have a hard time pulling those bed covers back and getting out of bed, but once I'm up, I'm usually OK.
Didn't used to be that way though. Years ago, before he left for work, DH would set the alarm clock for me to get up. The alarm would ring, I'd get out of bed, stumble over to smack the alarm button back down, and then stumble back to bed. I was always late and running around. One time, he got so frustrated that he put the alarm clock up inside the light on the bedroom ceiling! I kept hearing it ring, but couldn't find it anywhere. Then it hit me that the sound was coming from
above me. Got up on the bed, reached up and smacked the alarm button. And went back to bed!

(Yes, I was rather pathetic....I hated mornings.)
I worked a swing-shift for 18 years. And on third-shift, I was the only one still bouncing around at 5:00 in the morning, all perky and wide awake. And when we were on first shift, I was always the one who fell asleep around 10:00 in the morning. Thank goodness, I don't have to do that anymore.
My story for years was: I think I'm allergic to mornings (DH had even given me a large Snoopy poster years ago that said that.)
