It never ends, seriously...
Foster Persephone was adopted today and her babies all go home tomorrow, so of course the shelter staff told me about this girl who they named Penelope (Weird coincidence another "P" name
), who was brought into the shelter as a stray this morning. She is pregnant but not overly so and I think we have awhile to go before babes arrive. I don't know if she is semi feral or just upset but as of right now she growls, hisses and swats at me whenever I try to touch her, poor doll. She's had a rough day, so probably just needs to settle in. She's in the crate only until Persi's babies go to their homes tomorrow, and then she'll have the whole room to herself.
Our home has a revolving door for kitties in need!

Well I was just up cleaning litter boxes and although she was a little uncertain at first, I started scratching her head and she was purring away!
She just needed to settle in, poor doll. She inhaled her food overnight and used the litter like a champ. So far so good!

Awww, what a sweet looking little girl! So glad she's settling in and allowing you to be near her. Glad you have some time to work with her on socialization before the babies arrive.

Oh, I'm so glad she just needed a bit of time on her own to settle in before she decided to accept you. What a sweet girl!

Nice pics of her. She's my type of cat for sure. Glad you were able to pet her. She's lucky to be under your care.

Looking forward to more pics.

She's just confused about what's happening to her, poor baby. I'm so glad she's started purring for you. She's really pretty.

Boy, if looks could kill
. She's a beauty though. Glad to hear she's settling in now.

Gosh, I didn't realize Persi's babies were old enough to be adopted already. I thought they were just opening their eyes! Oh, wait a sec...I'm confusing them with the OTHER kitties. Don't you have some that are just 2 - 3 weeks old or so?

Those would be Portia's babies!
I have 2 separate foster rooms who always have SOMEONE in them.
