Is my cat injured and/or in pain?

Hi, here's what happened:

My toaster oven was on, which is like a mini oven. When it's on for atleast a minute I CAN'T touch the back surface without burning my finger. My cat entered the space between the wall and oven. It was on for more than a minute when the cat entered that space and lied down, her whole side in contact with the back surface. No room was left between her body, oven and the wall.
After a few seconds the heat (or pain?) came to her... she made to escape. Her escape was delayed by some things and so she was STUCK there for aproximately 10 to 15 seconds.

Other clues: Afterwards she allowed me to touch her side and press lightly on it, which I think she normally wouldn't do. She let me pick her up with less of a protest. She still chased her toy mouse around.

Also a few days after it happened she was brought to the shelter because I can't keep her, and so I can't see her now.

No one was told about it and this happened 7 months ago. Is she still injured and/or in pain?

Ill answer questions

Ed, you say you took her to the shelter a few days later... Did she look injured then? I mean... you had a few days with her after the incident... How was her behavior? Did she hide? Was she normal?
There is really no way to say how she is now... The only way to find out even if she was adopted or if she is still at the shelter is calling them and trying to track her down. I sure hope this is a no-kill shelter?

She was adopted out shortly after she was brought to the shelter.

She didn't hide. She seemed mostly normal... except for the letting me touch her side and pick her up

Ed, can you call the Shelter back and see if she was returned?
If not, I would guess she is fine... She does have a family now, and likely, if she was injured, the Shelter would have noticed. If not, the vet would when the new family took her home... Cats do heal fast - if she was not returned she is most likely alright

I am glad she got adopted fast!

She's not returned...

And I don't know if a vet can find everything...

And if there's injury it might not be visible

Well I'm gonna call the shelter back, I want the new owner to know what happened
