Good morning dear Members of TCS!...…....Today is the turn of another member on the site... post here your daily questions for the member during a week, please ask all about you really wants to know and of course RESPECTING the own Privacy of our MEMBERS,...........The email, adress or another personal questions are not allowed!...

I’ve never had the pleasure to visit Mexico – either country or city. DH walked across the border once (he was on a business trip in Texas), just to say he had been there, and he brought me back some Pesos for my coin collection2.- ¿Wich part exactly? are you came by business or by vacations?

No parts yet – maybe some day when I hit the lottery

Thank you for the links. I have definitely heard of Yucatán, and here is another link with some really cool pictures of Mérida http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9rida,_Yucat%C3%A1n. I would LOVE to visit here as well: http://www.locogringo.com/research/ruins.html Between that beautiful beach and the Mayan ruins to explore, I would be in heaven!

I do like Spanish music. However, I only have a CD of john Arthur martinez singing some songs/parts of songs in Spanish. I love jAm, when he sings in Spanish, I just melt.

6.- Have you ever to watched a Mexican Movie? ( I mean with Spanish Dialogs?)

No, although I did watch part of one once on cable that I actually got kind of involved in (despite not subtitles). Don’t remember now what it was about, but it was an old black & white movie.

7.-Do you like the Mexican Food?( do you have any preference for example: burritos, Tacos, rice & beans, etc?)

I like rice & beans

8.-Do you like the Tequila?...or else Mexican Alcoholic beverage?

Hmmm…I'm sure I had Tequila - back in my wilder days – I probably liked it. I don’t know what other Mexican Alcoholic beverages there are. I don’t drink much these days.

9.- Have you ever to sleeped in a hammock?

No, I’d probably fall on my head. It looks like fun though.

10.- Have you ever to saw the traditional mexican clothes?

Yes, and they’re beautiful.

What are your cats names?

Swanie is a (very large) male tuxedo and Cindy (Cynthia) is a petite calico

How did they come to live with you?

This is a long story, which I will try to condense. We never had pets since getting married because we traveled a lot, so we would make friends with the neighbors pets. That’s very hard when we would move or they would move. After moving to where we are now, I swore I would not get involved with another neighbor pet. Unfortunately, Misty had other ideas. She lived 3 houses up and was determined she was going to get to know us and come in our house. When I finally did let her in the house it was New Years Eve and very cold and her family wasn’t home and the neighbors who were watching her weren’t home, so she came in, DH went out and got food and litter box, and we at that time because the grandparents. Misty would hang out at our house, sometimes sleeping there all night, with her family’s blessing. They tried to make an indoor cat of her, and she was miserable, so they were glad for her to have safe houses on the street. Naturally we fell hopelessly in love with Misty, and when her family moved we were heartbroken.

At that time, since we were settled with not much traveling anymore, we decided it was time to get our own cats – we wanted two so they would have a friend. We looked at various places, but I was looking for two already together and not kittens. So one day I filled in an application for a shelter, then we went out. When we got back there was a message from then on our answering machine. We called them back, but were not planning on going out that night because it was pretty far away, it was getting late, and they closed at 5:30. The guy there talked DH into it, so we headed out (about a 30 minute drive at least), got there, and we’re going around looking at the cats. When we got almost to the other side of the room I spotted Swanie. Swanie was climbing up his cage, meowing, trying to get my attention, and he sure did. We took him in the play room and he was a joy, very friendly, loving, playful. DH and I looked at each other and that was that. Since I wanted to, I looked and looked and none of them spoke to me until the guy there said what about Cynthia? He went and got her, and not only was she beautiful, she was sweet, flopped on her side and purred while I petted her. Before I even could think what we were doing, they were both in carriers (one borrowed, one purchased) and we were signing the adoption papers. Best decision we ever made!

Well, I've trained Swanie to show me where the treat jar is (does that count?)

Do you dress them up?

I really don’t like those trips to the ER, so no. I do have a video of DH trying to put a harness on Swanie back when we thought we might take him outside for a while. It's hilarious

Mother’s day – since mom passed away

What was your favorite subject in school?

English and History

What was your least favorite subject in school?

The Princess Bride

I mostly listen to oldies, so I don't know what's current these days. Most of it I don't like. I like songs that tell a story, not just repeat the same phrase over and over. Right now Josh Turner's Long Black Train is stuck in my head.

Genealogy / family history research. It is addicting

Just one? I worry about everything and suffer from anxiety

1) How did you find the Cat Site? How long have you been a member? What brought you here?

I found the Cat Site by googling for Cat related forums. I've been a member since either December 2005 or more likely January 2006. Somewhere around there. I came here because I was a new cat meowmy and wanted to know the best way to take care of my babies. This site is awesome!

2) Do you have any kids/grandkids?

No, just my fur babies

3) What's your favorite TV show/movie/book/song?

Favorite TV show: I'vegotten hooked on the HBO series Game of Thrones. I'm not going to be happy when I have to give up HBO after the special is over. I'm also addicted to American Idol.
Favorite Movie - Princess Bride
Favorite Book: Mordant's Need: The Mirror of Her Dreams and A Man Rides Through by Stephen Donaldson
Favorite Song: Don't really have one at the moment that I can think of.

4) What's your favorite/least favorite food? What's your favorite restaurant?

Favorite food: roast beef cooked in the crock pot, with noodles.
Least favorite: - anything with onions.

I admire people who go out and make a positive difference in the world.

1. Bat Out of Hell (Meatloaf) because I love every song on it and never get tired of listening to it.
2. Harry Chapin Greatest Hits. Harry is my all time favorite singer/songwriter and like the above, I never get tired of listening to these songs
3. Cookin' Cajun (Eddy Raven & Jo-El Sonnier), because the songs are fun and lift my spirits when I'm down.
4. The Eagles Greatest Hits, vol. 1 - because I love all of those songs
5. Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian (Johnny Cash). I had that record in vinyl and I would love to get a copy that I can listen to again. I listed to that over and over and over when I was a kid.2. You might also want some reading material. What would be your five Desert Island books? Why?

I would like to have the George R. R. Martin Song of Ice and Fire series and Stephen Donaldson's Mordant's Need. That's probably at least 5. Because I've read both series many times and enjoy them every time I read them. I'm not sure I could say that about anything else I've read. Oh - another one might be the Harry Potter series. I could probably read those over.

Maybe some puzzle books and word games.

4. You'll also need food. If you could have only two or three foods and nothing else, what would you choose? Why?

Potatoes because there are so many ways you can fix them and they're very tasty. and maybe peanut butter for protein.

I guess it would be DH, although I think I'd rather have someone who could build a boat so we could off the island (and that would definitely NOT be me or DH )

1. Where was your last holiday to?

Visiting family in Pennsylvania. Other than that, haven't had a real vacation in ages

2. Do you have a hobby?

I like to do genealogy research. Have gotten back quite far in a lot of my lines. Its fun and addicting

Hang out on the Cat Site of course

Butter Pecan.

Believe it or not, I don't like pizza.

Silver most of the time

Jeans - that's all I wear. Fortunately, I work for a company where we are allowed to be casual all of the time, not just Fridays.

I'm not sure what Trainers are. Like sneakers? I guess shoes, as long as they're comfortable.

9. Do you like to watch reality TV shows?

The only ones I like are the singing ones (American Idol, The Voice, CMTs Next Superstar), and So You Think You Can Dance.

I've been to a lot of them, but all when I was younger and nothing at all recently. We used to go pretty much any time someone came to town.

No. I took a few violin lessons when I was a kid, but they didn't stick. I have no musical ability

I don't play sports

Drums

My favorite sport to watch is Ice Hockey

Oh, hmm, never gave that much thought. I guess Superman, simply because I haven't seen many of the other ones.

I like comics in the newspaper, not the superhero type comics. My favorite newspaper comic is Pearls Before Swine.

I cook, but its definitely a chore

I like to make stuff in the crock pot, where you can throw in the ingredients and go about your business.

When mom was alive, she was a wonderful cook. I especially liked her ham & lima beans, but everything she made was good.

5. Either of those favourites might be a comfort food, or not. What is your favourite comfort food?

Potatoes! baked, fried, mashed, I love potatoes, you name it. I love potatoes!

6. What is your favourite celebration food?

Depends, but I guess steak is always good, or a roast.

7. When people come to my table, I always ask first whether there are any allergies/sensitivities/likes/dislikes I should keep in mind. If you came to my home, what would your answer be?

I like plain, simple food without a lot of spices. Spices and I don't get along very good. However, I've never been one to expect a hostess to cater to me, so I probably wouldn't ask you to do anything different

8. Do you consider yourself adventurous where unfamiliar food is concerned?

Definitely not. If I don't like the smell, I probably won't even taste it

9. What is your favourite meal of the day?

Lunch.

I like country, oldies pop, rock, and country, cajun music, folk music, don't care much for current stuff but some of it is okay

I probably have about 100 or so. I haven't bought CDs in awhile because I just get them as mp3s and listen that way

I've never participated other than to sit in the audience and clap.

I have sirius radio in the car, and that's mostly what I listen to. When I'm home I'm at the computer and playing either stuff from my collection, or Youtube (I love Youtube!)

I would go with the MP3 collage because I can always google for information if I want it. I like the variety of having a lot of different songs, styles, artists on my mp3 player (which is a Sony)

No. I studied violin for awhile when I was younger, but I have no aptitude for musice. I wish I was musical, because I love music.

same feelings I have my friend.... I wished to have more aptitude....

Coolcat, it sure soesn't seem fair that so many people have at least passable talent and some of us couldn't carry a tune if you put handles on it?

2.- Do you collect DVD´s or VHS??,….How many do you have?
3.- Wich one is your favourite Actor Male?

5.- Have you ever to participated in some Special Event of your favourite artist?
6.- Have you ever to saw in live to some artist? ( I mean is some restaurant, buying at mall or in some resort?)
7.- Do you like to watch the Oscar Awards, the Grammys, the Emmys, the People choice etc?
8.- Have you ever to participated in a role in a Theather representation? ( maybe just for fun or when you was on School?) …
9.- If you could to meet to some artist wich one would be and say us why!...
10.- Would you like to live next at some artist (? ( I mean for example your neighboor would be a TV anchor or else?)……

Electric is what I prefer and what I have. I've never used gas. Honestly, I'm afraid of gas

I do use cookbooks sometimes, my favorite is an old Betty Crocker one I got when I got married (30 years ago).

3. Are you primarily a recipe cook, or do you like to fly by the seat of your pants?

I use recipes if I want to try something new, but the main stuff is by the seat of my pants. I'm no gormet cook for sure, so its not anything fancy I'm talking about. But sometimes if I've started out with a recipe, I'll modify it over time.


And then a bit about Travel...

1. What countries have you visited? Would you visit them again?

My first trip away from home was to Montreal Canada, with a friend, and I loved it. I've also been to Toronto and Niagara Falls, Canada. Went with DH once years ago on a business trip, we flew to London, England and spent a couple days there. Then went on to Brussels, Belguim where he had a meeting. From there we took a train to Antwerp, Belgium and Amsterdam. It was awesome. Yes, I'd definitely visit any one of them again if I had the $$ for it.

2. Which was your favourite overall?

Boy that's tough. I enjoyed every one of them, I don't think I could pick just one, they were all great.

3. Which was your favourite trip?

All of them, just couldn't pick one over the others.

4. Would you live in any of them longterm?

No, I'm pretty happy here in the States. However, if I did have to permanently live in any one of them, I would probably pick Toronto or Niagara Falls - because its closer to home and family, and I already know the language :lol3:

I like fantasy or science fiction if its not all just cowboys in space stuff. I like romantic comedies and character movies. Don't care a lot for the action/adventure or crime ones

I have some VHS but no VHS player anymore. I have a few DVDs, but not a lot. Maybe a couple dozen.

Not sure about absolute favorite, but I like Jeff Bridges

Meryl Streep is very good

No, haven't had the opportunity. I've been to concerts but no participation

No artists. I've seen a couple of local TV anchors, one in a drug store and one in a bank. And I've seen some of the hockey players and coach for the local NHL team in the grocery store, but that's about it.

I haven't watched them in a long time. Occasionally I'll watch the country music awards, but I don't go to movies and I don't watch a lot of tv shows, so I don't really know what the awards are for these days

When I was in school, I was in a couple plays, minor parts, but it was fun. I don't think I could do it now, too self-conscious

Hmm...I think I would like to meet john Arthur martinez because I love his singing and performances and he seems like such a genuinely nice guy.

I guess if they were quiet and not a lot of drama going on, it would be okay. I don't think I'd want to live next to a rock star or one who was always throwing loud parties and stuff. I like my peace and quiet at home.
