I work a with a local shelter as a foster for kittens, and the resent kitten i have been fostering seems to be having a heath issue that i was wonder if anyone may have a answer, or help for.

the kitten is just under 3 weeks old and is having a small amount of red to light brown discharge coming from her vagina for the last four days, about one/twice a day. her pee is always clear, and peeing is never a problem for her, she goes on her own and is learning the litter box vary well. she has had a small amount of constipation since i've had her and only goes every 2 days or so with stimulation in a warm water bath. shes eating well, and is fed a mix of formula(canned) and goats milk(hole) all is watered down 7/8 milk and 1/8 water to help with the constipation.

I have taken it to the shelter Vet who said other test will have to be run but the shelter does not do the test so the shelter will just put her down. other Vet are out of the question as one i live on 300 a month. two its against contract with the Shelter(who will not let me adopter her sick). and three it not my cat and will need to be turned back over when 6 weeks old, i just do fostering out of the goodness of my heart.

does anyone know what this could be, or how to help the poor little kitten? i can get a simple med from the shelter for free but only one and i would have to know what the problem most likely is. The vet has problems telling as its always dry by the time i get there and is unable to squeeze it out.

Please help as i only have one chance a simple meds after that the shelter has complete control and will put her down. so if anyone knows what it might be i will talk with the vet.

thank for your help

I'm just now seeing this, but you may want to post in the "Kittens" forum - folks there may have some advice for you.
