Poor little Hera!!!

Pria will often go and sit outside of the foster room where we keep Persephone and her 4 kittens. Pria likes to sick her paw under the door and play with/paw at the kittens. Well tonight she went kitten FISHING and she hooked little Hera good!

We were downstairs and heard a kitten screaming. I ran upstairs to check on them and they were all hiding, but finally started running around and pouncing on each other, climbing on me and causing all kinds of trouble. At first I thought everyone was ok, but then I saw that poor little Hera had a lot of blood on one of her back paws. I cleaned it up and treated it with antibiotic ointment and although there was blood she is no worse for wear, running around, playing having a great old time. No limping or anything. I'm going to keep a close eye on her to see if she requires a vet visit tomorrow and then I will contact the shelter but she SEEMS ok...

Pria now has freshly trimmed claws! Please send those vibes that Hera heals up quickly.

Aww, a casualty of play time! Poor baby. I'm glad she seems to be ok though, running around like the little kitten she is. I hope she heals up good!!

Awww...poor baby. Hopefully she is none the worse for it. More frightened than anything? (even though there was definitely blood)

Aw, poor little girl! Hera is my favorite of the kittens (shh... don't tell the others ). I hope she continues to do great with no lasting effects!

poor Hera!

How about getting one of those under-the-door draft guards, to prevent the cats from sticking the paws under the door again?

Absolutely, but in the meantime, claws are staying nice and trimmed.

Hera is my favorite of the kittens too. Other than having a small chunk out of her foot, it's not slowing her down and should heal up in no time.
