Hi, I am new and registered just to discuss this issue with my 16 year old cat 'Mouth' who is healthy as hell and loves to show it by constantly pole vaulting across my laptop while I am using it. I know this must be an attention thing because he coodles as he's doing it. He didnt start doing this until I got a new laptop and put the box next to where I sit. It has turned into a convenient landing spot when he does his trick. I am tempted to remove it but I am worried that he may be attempting to let me know I dont give him enough attention. Granted, I hold him constantly and even play. He still loves chasing balls and string. So, therein lies another possible issue: do I spoil him with too much attention he may be used to? I guess im looking for some moderation of this spunky little guy who I think just needs to relax and enjoy being a healthy older kitty. Any advice appreciated.
