If You Suddenly Died...

Were there family issues that you kept putting off?

Any individuals you didn't have a chance to have "that" talk.

Is there anything on your computer you wouldn't want to be found?

Nope, can't think of anything.

There's lots of talks that I haven't had with my boys

And there's not a thing on the computer that I wouldn't want anyone to see.

no, no and no. I have great relationships with my family. Nothing left unsaid.

And as for the computer.....only the fact that I am on the catsite so much would be an issue.....

No unresolved family issues
No secrets in the computer but I have old diaries stashed somewhere in my closet. I think I would not mind being "found out" after I am long gone.

Strange that this is the question of the day! Just yesterday, there was a terrible car accident and someone was instantly killed. Got me thinking, what if that was me , scary. So, I have to make sure all of my pets are well taken care of (my first thought) and someone has to be taught how to feed them and what to feed them since I am the one and only who does this. And I would have to tell Larry where my "cash stash" is..... He knows I have one ... and NO it is not under the mattress. I guess that is all I was worried about, was just my animals and my stash

There is one very obvious file on my computer desktop. An illustrated outline on caring for the cats. Favorite foods, treats, toys, which are bonded pairs, which drawer their paperwork is in, medical history, meds, etc.

Hopefully my sisters would come get them, but just in case, ya' know?

My son already thinks I'm the crazy cat lady: He has no idea! Wait till he sees how much I'm on TCS -- not to mention the fact that most of my computer files are cat pix & videos!

I got to thinking about this very same thing after Randall's health scares, so I got all my affairs in order. Something like that sure makes one think of one's own mortality.

I've had a not-so-great relationship with my brother, so I tried to rectify that by contacting him. Unfortunately, he's a very angry, bitter person, and communicating with him again caused a lot of stress for me, so I've not made any further attempts at trying to bridge the gap. It's just too painful for me to have a relationship with him..

There's nothing on my computer that I would be embarrassed for anyone to find. But if there was, I'd be dead anyway so it wouldn't matter.

Nope to all three.

Unfortunately I've been estranged from my sister since the death of our mother when I caught her "bragging" about being emotionally abusive and making fun of her. ALL my other relatives took her side so I haven't seen any of them for 6 years. But I don't regret not being in their dysfunctional lives. I have dear friends to fill their shoes. I always make a point in telling people I care about how I feel about them. You never know when your words to them will be your last chance to say. "I love you."
As for my computer, and even things I would leave around my apartment; it's ALL ABOUT CATS. Photo albums, books, poems, nick knacks. A stranger would be shocked--a friend would would just smile and say. "That was Cheryl"

If I'm dead, I wouldn't have any concerns really... hard to be embarrassed or remorseful when legally brain-dead.

So the better question for me would be if I were semi-slowly dying, enough not to make it to the hospital, how pissed would I be that I invested so much in my 401K.

But naw, peeps I lurv knows I lurvs em.

I have unresolved issues with my family, but I have no desire to speak to any of them about it. LOL

No unresolved family issues. There are a few things I would like to say to a few people about pain they've caused people I care about very much (myself aside, that's not what I'm quite so ticked about ).

... as for things on my computer...

I don't think there is a thing, it's a scary thought.. but I hope my family and pets know that I LOVE them very, very much and appreciate everything they have done for me.

Nope. My sister and I had some "issues" for several years, but we cleared the air about three years or so ago and have gotten close again. Things that seemed so important years ago? Are nothing now. What matters is that we can pick up the phone and call each other, go out for dinner and just be there with each other.

My friends know that I love them dearly and cherish their friendship.

I have the kitty file on my computer as well. Plus we have a paper file on each cat in our filing cabinet, complete with all the vet bills and receipts, test results, numbers for Whisper, our CRF kitty, everything. We tried to keep track of their medical info as much as possible. All the information will go to my brother and SIL, depending on how many of our cats would be still alive if something happened to us.

Both of our computers are open, meaning there's nothing funky on them.

I'm all good. Due to health issues and some major operations I already "that" talk with both my parents and my DH and affairs were put in order. Well or at least as well as they can be considering my age!
