Oh I'm so glad to hear she's still hanging on and actually improving!

Any more pics of the little lady?

No more fleas.

Tiger has improved immensely. She's still a little unsteady on her feet, but that may be arthritis. She's grooming, eating canned food with water added, even begging for more (and she gets it!), dashing to her "safe room" when I prepare food, even playing a little with a string. She begs for attention by tapping me with her paw, and she jumps up and settles down. Her fur has even "unpunked."

I had to take her in to the shelter today, since we're going on vacation next week. Everyone commented on how good she looked, and some even felt bad that they hadn't noticed she wasn't eating the dry food they put out for her. By the time we got her turned around, I have no doubt she was within hours of dying of starvation.

I have promised the shelter I would pay her adoption fee if someone decides to adopt her. She needs a lonely person who needs company; that would be an adoption made in heaven.

I call her "Punk," because her hair is "rough" and stands up like it's a punk haircut. She is pretty skinny, and we want to put some weight on her.

just send her over to me and let her follow wilbur around. he eats a cup of dry food per day, and MORE than that of kitty treats. he'll stand and meow until i get them for him. he's going to get fat.

The problem is, she won't/can't eat dry food, won't touch treats, not even interested in the chunks in gravied foods. All she will eat is slurried pate-style food. I was just up at the shelter, and someone had given her dry food. That's the same as not feeding her at all.

Tiger has been doing pretty well at the shelter, even putting on a little weight, but she was transferred to a rescue that may be able to find the right person for her.

One final post on Tiger (maybe).

The rescue she was transferred her to has found an adopter! I just got an e-mail from the family, with a cute photo of Tiger under the blankets with their son, who claims she is "his cat." I sent them back a little of her history, so I hope it all works out well.

Here is a photo of the adopter's son and "his cat," Tiger (now called Tigris). The adopter says he comes in in the morning and takes "his cat" to his bedroom and cuddles with her.

I just got off the phone with them, and they appreciated the tips I gave them on getting her to eat.

I talked to the lady, who is technically fostering Tiger, and she says Tiger has found her furrever home. She specializes in older cats and has a number of them.
