I hope not just one of my special, fuzzy friends will be waiting for me over that bridge but all of them.
To Coal... my first cat. Forever fat and sassy.
And to Ahr. Licker of my toes. Probably the most heart-breaking good-bye I've ever had. Sadly he was an outside born kitty who let just met pick him up and snuggle him. Some illness went through all the kitties and I had to watch him waste away. I did my best for him, even bringing him to the vet at one point. I had to move... the day before I left I knew he was not long for the world. I picked him up and held him and told him I was sorry and that I hoped it happened quickly and that he wouldn't hurt anymore. I was called the next day while moving in to be told he'd died during the night presumably in his sleep.
I hope to see the both of them waiting for me across that bridge when I cross someday.
