Hello! Pleased to meet you all. You can just call me Zee. My girlfriend and I are the proud mommies of two kitties. A place like this is amazing! Being able to discuss things and even get some advice is such a big help.
First is our boy. He has QUITE a story and is very, very special and dear to me. I had recently gone through some very difficult times and was staying in a shelter. While driving in search of a job in the local area I saw the saddest sight ever - a kitty in the road. It was upsetting but what can you do? I drove a bit further and saw ANOTHER kitty in the road.
Except he was alive! I parked as fast as I could and ran out to scoop him up before he could get hit. He was bleeding and the hour drive to the vet was so worrying. He was being carried by his momma when she got hit, throwing and rolling him on the road. He got a staple for his split lip, and some medication since he was very, very sore. He had hit his little head so hard that he was actually blind the first day we had him. After that he rapidly made a recovery. He is an extraordinarily handsome boy and we believe that he has some Egyptian Mau in him... perhaps just the fancy of some overly doting mothers but it makes us happy to see the similarities between him and Maus.
The newest addition to our family is our little Invader, Zim. She was quite unexpected by the woman who had adopted her mother after she'd shown up on her doorstep. We were wanting a little girl and we got her! Since the day we met her we had fallen in love. She's so curious and such a little talker! (Or should I say squeaker)
