OK, my neighbor found 2 kittens on her way to work. She drove back home and dropped them off with me. Neither of us have $$ for a vet, since we're in school right now. I just felt awful for them.
Brown kitty is sick, white kitty is healthy. White weighs more than my 1 lb kitchen scale can measure, Brown only weighs 10.5 oz. [just weighed white by holding her while weighing myself, and got 1.4 lbs... probably not that acurate, but she is relatively heavy compared to brown] Eyes have changed colors on brown, so assuming they are at least over 6/8 weeks old... Brown is skinny, I can feel lots of bones (the fluff is deceiving). Neighbor says that when she found her one eye was swollen shut. Now both are open, but one had lots of puss or something. Obvious infection.
I called a vet in the ag dept, but he hasnt gotten back to me yet.
I figured that brown needs penicillin, so I went to the vet supply store and he agreed and gave me some amoxicillin capsules and said to give 1 twice a day. I mixed one with milk and syringe fed her that, and by the end she was actually lapping at it, so I guess that's good.
Both appear dehydrated, wondering if gatoraid would be a good idea?
Here are some pictures, couldn't get any of the brown kitty's eyes.

Are they eating well? If so, give them (especially the brown one) all they can eat canned food mixed with kitten formula (for the extra nutrition and fluids). If you think you need to force fluids, use Pedialyte or homemade hydration solution (Google it--it's intended for children in developing countries but works for kitties, too) instead of Gatorade. If they're drinking well, maybe give them some chicken broth or something instead of forcing fluids--it's risky (could get into their lungs) and you don't want to do that unnecessarily.

Keep their eyes clean, wash the goop out every time it gets icky. Try to get some de-wormer, as worms will keep kittens from benefitting from any nutrition they may take in. I would want to talk to a vet before using antibiotics in a kitten that young. They don't look too bad off, but if they stop eating, develop severe diarrhea, or seem lethargic, do whatever you can to get them to a vet or to someone else who can take them to a vet (like a rescue).

Thanks! We went back to look for more today and found a seal point that's in about as bad a shape as the black one. We found a blue point and a black that are happy and healthy! So they got wormed tonight, and will get a flea bath in dawn tomorrow. The sickly black kitten isn't gaining weight yet, but is walking around a bit more and seems more alert.

Didn't get pictures of the new black one, but here are the other new guys:

and the two we caught the other day:

Teabag's work great on the goopey eye's. I just took some lipton teabag's and put them in a bowl with water and put them in the microwave for a minute or so. Clean the eye's with a warm washcloth and then take another clean washcloth and dip it in the tea and clean the eye's again with that. When I had to do that the cat's eye's cleared up within a day or two. Hope they get better soon.

Oh my word, are they cute, and lucky that your neighbor found them. Sending vibes that the two sickly kittens will improve under your care.

They're so adorable!!!
Two of them look like they might be Siamese-mixed!

Why mixed? Call them Balinese-type and there you are...

Tx for helping them,

And good luck to everyone!

EDIT. Orangeish, you are actually right. the overall look is like a balinese, or possibly old type siamese. But the mix of siamese does not seldom have such a looks. Or, if both parents does have one gene of Siamese, and the kittens hit the double combination both from ma and pa - voilá, here we go!
So for example, some russian blue does have one single gene for siamese, without showing it. But when it occasionally happens they got the gene both from ma and pa => we do got a litter of russians and among them a sibling or two "siamese old type". Very cute.

My passionate thanks to you and your friend for rescuing these babies. Since they may need more care than you will be able to afford (vet care, parasites) you might want to start looking for a rescue organization to take them in.

I'm concerned about what you used to de-worm them, as OTC dewormers are not really safe, especially for young sick kittens.
