Question about using a trap

Thread Starter
Many of the website giving advice about looking for a lost cat suggest using a trap. It makes sense if you have a good idea of where the cat may be, but as I have no clue where Sasha ran off to I wouldn't know where to put the trap. Or am I missing something? I am doing everything I can think of to find her but I don't want to miss anything.
Also, if she is hiding, which I suspect she is, how long can she go without food and water?
Many thanks.

Is this a housecat normally? My experience with a shy even in the house with me and terrified when she got outside cat was she would try to come to the doors at night to come in but(when came home from store saw her waiting)

I would set trap on a spot easily seen from a window so you can monitor trap(tho I hear it trip more often then not) Also put out her bed or if shes a cuddler at night maybe your pillow case near trap or under it(NOT in it)

I'm sorry - I don't remember - have you been putting out food and has it been eaten?

But I think catsallaround has good advice.
