We have a wasp who has been building a nest on the end of bolt in our mail box. Each day we knock off his efforts when we pick up the mail and he starts over. Most days it is the size of a thumbtack though Monday's was the size of a dime as he had more than a day to work on it.

Since it is in the mail box and I don't want to cause problems for us or the mail carrier, I need to find a non-toxic repellent that will encourage this wasp to move on.

BTW - we did have one last year doing the same thing and eventually were able to smash him.

I am curious about this also. We often get wasp problems in the shed I feed the kitties in, although we haven't had any issues yet this year I've often pondered what are pet safe ways to be rid of them?

I was in three different garden centers today and know I saw non-toxic wasp repellent. Of course I don't remember the name of it. Next time I go back, I will check.

I should do that. I'm not a big gardener and that didn't occur to me. Right now I have to keep DH away from the bug spray. He's ready to blast the mail box.
