She gave birth about a week ago and has been feeding the 5 kittens without an issue until tonight. Several of her nipples and the tissue around them are swollen and she's showing signs of discomfort and not letting the kittens latch. There's no redness or heat in the area so don't think it's mastisis. Any suggestions? We're trying warm compress but she's really not cooperating with that at all.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I would get to a a vet quickly - if the kittens are not feeding it is an emergency. Get ready to feed them yourself in case she has an infection or something that may prevent her feeding them for a while. Good luck.

Yes, I second this above. Asap, phone at the very least. AND get substitute milk, pronto, pronto asap.. Time is running now for the kittens.....
Even if the vet hopefully find a good cure working almost at once, you must give the kittens food at least a couple of times.
Good luck!
