Mother's Day will be interesting

I got an email from my ex about going to a park tomorrow and grilling. I asked if he wanted to go to Towner's Woods, my absolute favorite hiking spot and he replied "yup".

In the entire twelve years I have known him, he has NEVER wanted to go hiking.

My daughter and I pretty much know those trails like the back of our hands. I am going to let her guide our hike.

I am not going to tell him about the bear and her cubs deep in the woods. I would so love to see them, at a distance of course.

No, sadly we did not. But, we saw and heard many woodpeckers.

I told my ex many times to bring sturdy shoes to wear and what does he don? Sandals.

So, guess who was the one who tripped all the time? ME!!! I was hiking with my eyes up and was not watching where I was hiking at all.

He has a DSLR camera and I now want one...real bad.

Oh man I want one too! I've been drooling over them for years!

Whenever my DH and I hike (which is rare anymore; he loves to but I am in terrible shape...) I always see people hiking in flip flops!! DH fusses at me for not wearing boots (I usually go with sneakers, like a running shoe style) and here these people are trotting along doing so much better than me...wearing those!! Oh well! My feet probably feel better at the end of the trail!

He got his off Ebay for $250.00. The lenses are what are really expensive. He has a couple that were $300.00 alone...used.
