... a haircut so horrible you just want to put a bag over your head? At least my hair grows pretty fast, but goodness gracious, I don't want to leave my house...

Maybe I can put Peanut on my head and somehow devise a way to wear him as a hat!

I wonder what animal Donald Trump has on his head..? Somekind of roadkill but can't really tell what it used to be. Whatever it is, don't try that one, I'm sure your haircut can't be that bad!

Yes!!!. I moved out the area so had to change salons, and l could tell by the way the girl was cutting she wasn't the professional she made out, she was just used to trimming the ends of long hair, sticking rollers in and blow drying. It was MUCH shorter than how it usually was, and l hated it!. Fortunately my hair grows fast as well, but she never saw me again. Infact the stylist l went to next asked me who cut my hair!!

I have long hair, so it's never been that bad, all I haveto do is put it in a ponytail and you can't really tell especially since it's curly.
But, I've had stylist mess up my haircut many times, especially most recently my friend got a hair stylist license and did it for me, and she made the layers just too messy and not very even

My hair was to or past my waist before I donated it- I've kept it short for the past two years.

Now I have a VERY short, choppy pixie-ish that's long in the front and just looks... not good on me. At all.

Grow faster, grow faster, grow faster...

I think Peanut would make a lovely hat. Something posh enough for the royal wedding.

At least Peanut won't look like that horrible creation that Princess Beatrice had on!

Yes, I am dealing with the same thing. Three haircuts ago, I had to change stylists due to such sloppiness. So this one I have now gave a nice trim the first time. The second time, shorter. When I went in the door Thursday she said that my top looked heavy. That was all she said. I took off my glasses. She washed my hair and started cutting. Mind you, I can't see without the glasses, so I couldn't tell what she was doing. Now I have one of these chopped pixies too. It doesn't look bad, but it is just too short. Not bad for a youngster, but I am in my mid sixties. Grow fast, grow fast.
I am washing it tonight to see if it is long enough for me to be able to style it. If we lived close, we could get matching bags to wear over our heads.

Oh dear, and to think someone was probably well paid for that monstrosity.

Now I'm thinking about ways to potentially get him to stay on my head long enough for a picture!

I am constantly telling my hair stylist to quit talking to everyone else and pay attention to my hair She gets it right about 50% of the time I have said I need to find someone else for many years now but I guess I'd rather whine about it

Hopefully you didn't pay for this hair cut, OR give a tip?

I paid for the cut, since I did take up her time... I am pretty much the worst when it comes to things like calling people out on bad service. I'd rather just smile, pay my bill, and never ever EVER go back than have to have a confrontation.

I have one gal I work with who cuts my hair - no one else touches it & hasn't for almost 4 years now! I'm so very anal about my hair, I've had a short/spiky cut for 6 - 7 years now, & I just started growing it out now. It's been.....interesting.

Remember Supercuts? They did haircuts for a flat rate of six dollars back in the '70s. One day I decided to save money and let them trim the split ends from my almost-waist-length hair. I was surprised when the girl didn't wash my hair, or even spray it with water before she cut it -- she just turned me away from the mirror and went at it with comb and scissors.

Okay, so that should have tipped me off.

After a few minutes, she suddenly barked, "Your head's uneven!"

"Pardon?"

"Why didn't you tell me your head's all weird," she said angrily. "You made me mess it up!"

I turned the chair around. She had chopped about a foot off of the strands around my face, leaving me with little sideburn-like fringes in front of each ear, and one of them was about an inch longer than the other.

"No!" I gasped. "What did you do?"

"It's your own fault! You're supposed to tell me if your ears aren't even!"

"But I just asked you to trim the split ends! Why did you do it so short?"

"Well, I had to get it evened out, I had to keep on cutting, it's not my fault!"

And so on. I had tried to keep my voice down, but I guess my initial gasp of shock had caught some attention -- I saw three people in the waiting area get up and leave.

Miserably, I did the same... but like you, Orangeish, I stopped at the desk and paid for that disaster!

They're STILL AROUND! I went to Great Clips, which is more or less the same thing, though now it's $14 instead of $6. We have Supercuts here in Kansas City too, but I've never gone there before.

Never again, never never never.

The only bad hair style I've ever had was back when I was 17 years old and was talked into going to a beauty school, by a friend. She had gone and had gotten a really nice cut and perm.

My hair was down to my knees and I was tired of it. I have very oily scalp and had to wash my hair every single day and I wanted something mid back, layered and permed. Not exactly like this, but along similar lines:

http://fileserver.glam.com/glampress...brooke1990.jpg

The instructor cut one side of my hair and the male student was to cut the other side the same. Well, he made a mistake so his instructor had to come and fix his side. Then he was supposed to cut the side she originally cut, the same as the side she just fixed. Well, it went back and forth like that until my hair was a bit longer than jaw length! I was livid!!!

I ended up with something similar to this, only about an or 2 below my jaw!

http://www.buzzle.com/img/articleIma...8947-033-4.jpg

Next the perm!

He rolled the hair and used ONE bottle of perm solution on the front couple rows of curlers. Then a SECOND bottle for the middle of my head. Then a THIRD bottle for the top back. And a FOURTH bottle for the bottom back! I refused to pay for the 3rd and 4th bottle.

The solution was to stay in for 20 minutes. He left it in for 45 minutes.

My hair was fried. And had such tight curl that it was like an afro curl.

Combine the afro curl with the short cleopatra style cut he gave me and my head looked like a traffic cone!

Back then you weren't supposed to wash your hair after a perm for 3 days. I was told that the curl would relax.

I was 17 years old. I went to school and was so horridly embarrassed. I had a pick comb that was supposedly unbreakable. I wouldn't even get a pick through my hair. It was a rat's nest. I got so frustrated that I threw that pick across the school bathroom into a wall and it broke!

That night I went home, washed my hair and then put my head on an ironing board and turned the clothing iron to high cotton heat and ironed my hair. I still have scars on my scalp from where I burned myself. But I got rid of that perm! Never went back to a beauty school ever again.

Since then I've had cuts that I wasn't entirely thrilled about, but nothing devastating. My hair grows super fast: About 1 inch per month if not more, so within a month it's long enough for me to go and get something else done with it.

I'm currently trying to grow my hair out and just recently had it shaped at a salon that I used to go to. Not exactly thrilled with what she did, but it will do for now.

Just before my birthday two years ago I decided to go and get my hair trimmed because it was looking a little uneven (for some reason one side of my hair grows faster than the other).

My hair cut was supposed to look the same as it always had, like this, only slightly shorter:

it ended up coming out like this, but with extremely short, blunt bangs:

Needless to say, I felt like Willy Wonka for my entire birthday.

I used to always go to Super Cuts to get my bangs trimmed and my eyebrows waxed, always by the same lady. She was very nice and always did a good job. I guess she quit or something because she wasn't there the last few times I've been there, so I finally decided to let someone else cut them. Bad idea. They were blunt (not what I asked for), obviously uneven and way too short.

I let my bangs grow out and just cut them myself now. They're swept to the side, so it doesn't really seem to matter if they're even or not, lol. I'm happy with the results most of the time.

The worst was about 10 months ago when I took my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and go get our hair trimmed - we both have longer hair, a few inches past our shoulders (he's growing his to donate for wigs). I was shocked when the bill came to $70!

Oh yes. It's quite traumatizing, but it will grow out!

A Peanut Hat, HMMMMMM . GROW HAIR GROW
Aww, a Peanut hat!! Grow grow grow!!

I am 30 years old and never went to a salon. My mom's always been my hairdresser, for coloring and cutting. Since I moved across the country, I've learned to do my own color (I do a good job actually, especially with having long hair now!), and she still cuts/trims my hair when we visit, but now I've started chopping my own bangs. They're never even, but I make it long enough so I can wear them a bit messed up looking (not combed super straight down) and you can't tell they're crooked. One day I will just suck it up and try getting a haircut from a stranger... maybe.

When I was 12, I had waist-length very wavy hair. I always took care of my hair, but my mother hated it. She took me to a salon for a "trim". It took my mom and 2 stylists to hold me down. When they were finished, my hair was above my chin and my "bangs" were about 1/2-inch long with my ears sticking out.....it was so short.

It was so bad that when we got back home, my father threw a fit and asked my mother what the h*ll she had been thinking! He actually wanted to buy me a wig. The other kids teased about it for a good month or so until school finally left out for the summer....and I'm talking about serious teasing. It was nasty. And I had to get my school picture taken looking like that. God, it was just awful. (My mother, of course, thought that it was just adorable. And she couldn't understand why I refused to leave the house.)

You just don't do that to a young girl. You just don't. To this day, I have a phobia about short hair.

No, you don't. That age in particular you're so sensitive that something like a bad haircut can be traumatic. Especially as they cut it against your will like that!
I've had a million bad haircuts, dye jobs, perms in my time. I've kinda given up trying to find a stylist I like. Now I just use coupon deals and go to whatever salon to get a cut & colour. The last time was terrible - the stylist was just not there, like she was bored and totally switched off. I didn't look bad coming out of the salon, but boy the next day it was awful! I couldn't do a single thing with it and ended up having to wear a headband all the time.
Oh well, luckily my hair grows quickly too.

This reminds me of when I had all my hair cut off I had long long long hair, Mom took me to the hairdresser for a trim, she just dropped me off and had to run to the grocery store for a minute, I went in and told the hairdresser that I wanted a mushroom cut I thought my Mom was going to die when she walked in and seen what I had done!! The poor hairdresser felt awful but I loved it
