I just found out that they think it may be stage 2, which I suppose is not terribly bad. If I coudl have some vibes for her, I'd really be grateful. She now has to consider her treatment. I'll keep you all posted.

Today has been awful. Gemma got out accidentally yesterday morning; we last saw her at 3:30 Am, at the back door. The other cats scared her, and she ran away. I don't know if she got out under the huge gap in the gate, but I haven't seen her all day. ( I posted this in the SOS area, trying to get advice on how to find her.)

Thanks for listening.

Prayers and hugs for you and your mother. The big C word is scary. Our daughter has battled it two times, but she is still here and it is 16 years since her first episode. Stay focused on positive thoughts. That will help. I truly hope all goes well. Feel free to PM me anytime if you need to talk.
Also, I am praying for Gemma to come home.

My aunt had stage 3 or 4 (never ascertained for sure which) lung cancer three years ago... went to MD Anderson in Houston, waited about three months before having surgery (?), then finally had most of one lung removed... and she's doing great! I'll be hoping just as good an outcome for your mom...

And Gemma, come home, sweetie!

I hope your mom gets some really good treatments, and responds totally to them. Yes, she is lucky to have caught it at stage 2, as lung cancer is one of the tricky ones, that often doesn't show itself until far more advanced.

I also hope Gemma is home again. I'm sending for both of them, and YOU!
