Peanut's mother, Dora, left this world curled up in a patch of sunshine in the shed. She was very peaceful and we had no indication at all she had come to the end of her days with us- she just fell asleep and didn't wake. She was a barn cat on my parents' farm and passed away not too long ago. She was such a sweet cat and all her kittens share her personality, including Peanut! I am lucky to have had her even if it was only for a brief time.

Oh what a beautiful girl. What lovely eyes.

Well, those eyes are now scanning the beautiful meadows at the Bridge.

God bless her, little Dora.

She was a lovely, lovely cat... and her personality definitely matched! When you stepped outside she'd be right there meowing, and when you'd put your hand down she would actually hop up on her hind legs so she could rub her head against your hand. When it was cold, her favorite place to sleep was always the hood of my (black) car. I always had pawprints! I do miss her very much, but I know she's up with the rest of her kittens and I know when Peanut's time comes, though I pray that's far far away, she'll be waiting for him.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dora was a beautiful cat, with soulful eyes.
