Do we get to see a pic of your finished results? I love red polish, but my skin tone would never allow me to pull it off. So, I want to live vicariously through your red nails!

Your skin tone can pull it off. Is the undertone of your skin pink or yellow? If you have a pink undertone, you need blue based colours. If your skin is a yellow undertone, then you need more orange based colours.
I have a pink undertone so I tend to look better in blue based colours such as bright pinks and reds. However, since I'm heavy I can't wear red all over since it makes me look like a barn. But on my nails or as an accent is a different story.
If you have a pink undertone try the Cherries in the Snow. If you have a yellow undertone, try "Revlon Red". One of those will look fabulous on you!!
I don't care much for fast drying nail polish. I find that they tend to look thick and gloppy or streaky.
My secret to long lasting nail polish?
1. Revlon quick dry nail polish base
2. Revlon nail polish
3. Revlon non chip top coat
4. Time between each layer to allow each layer to completely dry before applying another.
It's not uncommon for it to take me an entire day or even 2 days to paint my nails.
I wash my hands well and then wait about 2 hours before applying any polish.
I then apply the quick dry base.
Then I apply 1 thin coat of polish. I wait several hours for that layer to dry. Remember when you apply a layer, it softens the layers underneath. I allow 2 to 3 hours of drying time.
Then I apply another layer of the colour. Again allowing 2 to 3 hours of drying time. Or even overnight. Usually overnight
Then the no chip top coat. And again allowing 2 to 3 hours drying time. For reds I apply a second layer of top coat and once again allow 2 to 3 hours of drying time.
My polish lasts a full week without chipping.
