that was ridiculous! Our local weatherweenie said that we had clouds and rain on 26 of the 30 days in April. And so far, we're right there again for May. We are over ten inches above our precipitation at this point. I'm so frustrated I could spit. That weather pattern can stop any time now.

I am with you there. I took my vacation this week in hopes of getting my garden at least tilled. No hopes of that since the yard is STILL flooded in the back.

I did get to do tons of clean up yesterday.

Right now, it is 45 degrees out. Rather chilly for May.

At least with all the cloud cover, we don't have to worry about frost.

Wow!! I know my mom has been telling me about all the rain in that neck of the woods, but yikes! Crazy! Even here, in the desert of SoCal, it rained on Easter! It rarely rains past January or early Feb here usually. And we got our usual 10" of rainfor the season all in a few weeks in December. Crazy weather these days.

I emptied out a container last night and today there is over an inch of water in it.

No kidding!
This weather has been insane lately! Every week in April I spent part of my week in the bathtub with a weather radio, flashlights, pillows, and furbabies/guests that were over! There have been soo many tornadoes and storms it's been unreal! They're predicting the worst flooding in our area in over 80 years and the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers haven't even crested yet (they're saying it will in a few more days)! They've already moved Memphis in May festivities and sandbagged the Pyramid. Quite a few people have already been evacuated & one shelter is already full! (I'm really glad that the ASPCA has set up a temp. animal shelter for flood victims though!) I'll be glad when we get a nice, long dose of sunshine and this flooding mess/ bad weather goes away! I'm definitely keeping everyone that's been dealing with this weather/ will be dealing with more to come, in my prayers.

I know how much worse it has been for so many others, so I can't really complain here in NYC. We had a pretty rough winter and that makes me really nervous about the summer were going to have

It's just starting to storm here. Makes me a little nervous. It's been bad in the south lately.

I called to rent a rototiller for Monday because our local weatherweenies said that Monday was supposed to be a fairly nice day. So what happens? This morning we were watching the forecast and.......rain on Monday!

DH walked into the bedroom and said he's so frustrated he's even ready to spit nickels. At this point, nothing can get done. He has his bowling dinner tonight, so while he's there, I'm going to mow the yard.....yet again. If it doesn't rain.

Speaking of mowing...

I have been trying to hire people to mow my lawn. One kid said he would and even made an appointment for it. He never showed up. Another one said he would be out on Tuesday...he never showed. I have one last guy who hopefully will show up today.

I guess the economy isn't that bad if people can just throw away odd jobs.

WOW, you sure are getting it!!!!! Not much rain for us yet..... but I know it will come, it always does
. My yard can turn into a lake with the heavy downpours we can get in the Spring.
Hope you dry out soon
