My daughter's 17 year old pot belly pig went to the bridge today. She almost left a year ago, but recovered. She had been doing poorly since Friday afternoon. My daughter knew it was time to send her on her way. The vet came out to the house and did what was needed this afternoon. Ruby was buried in a cedar chest with her favorite flannel shirt and a yellow rose. When my daughter first got her, Ruby
lived in the house and slept on the foot of the bed. Because there were several dogs, Ruby learned to bark like a dog. Rest in peace old girl. You were a good friend for a long time.

Oh I am so sorry Ruby has gone to the Bridge. I remember her problems a year ago.

I used to work at a tour farm with Rosie, the pot belly. They are very affectionate and I loved her.

Hugs to you and your daughter. She was so obviously loved to the very end.

God bless

Pigs are so smart, and one that has lived with one family for 17 years is really going to leave an empty place in their lives. RIP, Ruby.

Oh Ruby sounded just like a "real" dog and such a part of the family. So sorry she has passed on. RIP
Ruby
