I just dropped Marmalade off to have a tumor removed and biopsied. The tumor is very close to his anus, though not actually on it. I was told that one of the risks associated with this surgery is that he might become incontinent from it. She said she doesn't expect that to happen, but its still a small risk. I like to be prepared for things, so while I hope, and assume that this won't happen, I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with an incontinent cat before and how you managed it. I'd be interested to hear any experiences.

If you all can send some good vibes Marmalade's way it would be appreciated! I am hoping and praying that this isn't cancer...

Lots of vibes that this will not be something you'll need to deal with.

My only experience with incontinence was with an elderly cat.
We had tried diapers etc, the only solution was to get her a cat cage like this one.

Though we also allowed her ample time outside of the cage for exercise.

She took about three days to adjust to it, after that, she was in it willingly.
She seemed to enjoy teasing the other cats without fear of retribution.

I don't have any advice to offer as I've never had this specific problem.
I just wanna send some vibes your way.

I don't have any experience with this but would think a cage would be the only option if the incontinence is extreme. Just want to send lots of vibes for your Marmalade
