Annabelle/Bailey has been in her forever home for one week now. She's still settling in, and has demonstrated some more issues (fear of motorcycles, loud cars and WIND, of all things!). She established her dominance over Muffin, the old dog on day 2 and no other issues with that have occured.

She LOVES to chew. She disemboweled all the stuffed toys in the house, and even Muffin's BED! They went to PetSmart this weekend and bought her a bunch of tougher, more challenging toys.

I was reading online about Annabelle again last weekend and was shocked to read she'd escaped certain death not once, but TWICE. The first time when her first "owner" was going to shoot her for not guarding the goats properly and secondly, when she was in the local animal shelter. Each time an angel stepped in at the very last moment!

And without further delay, some photos of Annabelle/Bailey in her new home.

Sitting on the fanciest dog bed I've ever seen:

I'm still impatiently waiting for one with Martin, her new daddy. I think he's camera shy!

Thanks for looking and for all the support and vibes. They really helped her get from Texas to California, all in 2 weeks!

That is one very happy looking dog and you can see the love in her eyes. Her mom looks totally thrilled and so in love with her new baby

Wow, she looks like a different dog! It's so nice to see the pics and realize all she went through to end up in a great home.

So glad for everyone!!

Wow, she's gorgeous! And how happy she looks! Yay to her new mama for taking her!

ETA: As for her issues with wind, she may eventually get over that. Our Bootser was scared to death of t-storms....we think lightning may have hit close to her when she was an outside kitty. Once she came into the house and we'd get a t-storm, Bootser would head to the step at the basement door and huddle there til the storm passed. She wouldn't even eat dinner til the storm was gone. Today? She doesn't give a hoot! Esp at dinner time....she's the first one into the kitchen and, if it does thunder, she flat-out doesn't care. Thunder? What thunder, Mom? Hopefully Annabelle will eventually see wind the same way.
