I was trying to put her down because she was trying to help in the bathroom and she flipped in my hands and her back claw hung into my pinky. I washed my hands and went to bed but this morning I noticed a red streak from it so I poured some peroxide on my pinky and you could see the infection fizzing. She seemed to know she hurt me because she rubbed against that hand. I hope it doesn't get infected with me waiting to put peroxide on it.

Sending some healing . Sorry you got hurt.
I usually get scratches due to playing with my cats
Silly me, I also just wash with soap and end up with something red and swollen the next day.

What works for me, is just dabbing some of those hand sanitizer gels (kill 99.9% germs
) on the wound. In a few hours, the swelling, redness (and pain) are gone.

I am allergic to handsanitizer and can't even use the foam at work because of it breaking me out. Thanks for the healing vibes

I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me
. Maia loves to play with her mouth and paws, and even in the past week I have had the "Ouch!!!!" claw stuck in my arm and foot. She never means to, but it happens......I use Hibiclens, its an antiseptic/antimicrobial cleanser and is amazing for everything from poison ivy to a new tattoo!
