Here is the story... My best friend since childhood had 4 breeding sphynx. After a series of very unfortunate events, she broke down and was unable to care for them, so we took them in. We picked up the first 2 last Friday. One male, and one female. My friend said that about a month ago, they mated, but she thought that the female was infertile because she is over 2 and had never gotten pregnant...
So Monday we take both to the vet and ask if she is PG... the vet feels around, says she does palpate anything so we schedule their FeLV/FIV/FIP testing as well as a HCG screening for Wednesday... they received their vaccinations and all was negative on the screens... however that night, we noticed slight a bloody discharge on the poo coming from the female... called the vet and she said it was stress related from the new home and vaccinations and to give her some pepto...
Fast forward to last night, I'm laying on the floor playing with them and notice her nipples are bright pink and somewhat large...
From all the cat breeding books I've read and searches on the internet, I found that that can be a first sign of pregnancy...
So I called my friend and she informs me that she never really kept tabs on when her cats bred... she was guestamating a month, but it wasn't like she kept a calendar... she figured if they got PG, they got PG... they could have done the deed anytime...
Now I'm worried that I vaccinated a pregnant cat... we so want to do right by these cats!
I know that there is nothing I can do... what's done is done... I've read that their are three options on the outcome of the kittens if she is PG (dead, deformed, ok)... but I just feel lost...

So just to help me out... can anyone tell me if this is pinking??
If it is than I will continue to worry until I can get her into a vet next week... if not... I might be able to get a good nights sleep...

Thanks in advance...

Hi....
I have no idea... But sure glad your friend doesn't have the cats anymore... IMHO a "breeder" that just let her cats run loose like that and has no idea if the bred on not, and if so, when?
Strange that she has these cats to begin with... I hope you are going to spay and neuter them - Sphynx is a complicated breed with health issues and IMHO should be left to the pros. Because of breeding without experience, "just to breed", there are a lot of sick Sphynxs out there and a lot of cat parents with broken hearts... I see it every day.
I hope their HCM Scan comes back clean, and that she is not pregnant... I also hope you do the right thing... which is spaying and neutering them. For your girl

Thank you for your opinion regarding the spay/neuter...

While I agree that my friend did not need to be a breeder we have a friend and vet that has been a breeder for decades that has agreed to mentor us until we are experts ourselves. Both my husband and I are excited about breeding to better the breed not to just churn out sub-par kittens.

thanks for the well wishes and all the best to you and yours

From the pics you posted, her nipples look a little different than most mother cats, but if she is just starting to pink up now, it may take a while for them to fully enlargen.
As for the vaccination, you couldn't have known, and it's too late now to do anything but wait. Contact your vet and ask her oppinion on what to do next.
Good luck!

Have the cat spayed immediately, problem solved.
And neuter the male while you're at it, and enjoy your new pets.

Okay, they definatly look like a pregnant cats nipples in these pics. She is still early in the pregnancy, so spaying is an option, although that is a personal choice.

Hi  I dont think you have anything to worry about, I did the same and a week later found out that my sphynx erin rose is pregnant, her nipples started tto pink at first her front ones near her chest and as the days went on they got pinker and all her nipples were pink, her belly was swelling and she became  more loving if thats possible for a sphynx. To be 100% sure a qiuck visit to my vet confirmed with a scan that she is expecting and due four kittens in the second week of april!!!!! I like you was worried but my vet confirmed that all would be ok as the booster is a small amount to top up. hope this puts your mind at rest. Izzy
