My cat had 5 kittens and they are healthy and doing great. Momma(Sooke) is also doing great but we have her mother (Taz). Well her mother has been getting into the box with her daughter and her kittens and well this seemed sweet. Then... mother cat has been removing kittens and hiding with them. This is irritating the the daughter and therefore she has been moving her kittens else where.

IS THIS ODD?

These are Calico cats.

I think this is quite normal, mother cats in the same household will often move each others' kittens around and even nurse them. Your mothers will probably (eventually
) figure something out as far as where the kittens should be hidden

Have fun with your kittens! Would you care to maybe share some photos?

This is quite common. Often they do help each other in the nest. And in such situation it is sweet and good, like you say.
But is this situation here, you must perhaps let the mom and her kittens be alone. Isolate the grandmom, or vice versa...

Good luck! *vibes*

I have been observing this behavior and I think she is helping her but I think I will continue to watch over. There was no moving of the kittens untill the grandmother started becoming way more involved. I think the nest is the problem, with her poking in there, it has just caused a need for a bigger one.
